The lodge is designed and built by Local Zanzibar designer, with its four rooms Zanzibar style , these rooms offers comfort, charm and relaxation in the heart of Zanzibar, surrounded by the beautiful mangrove trees of the Indian Ocean, just 500Meters to open sea, you will be enjoying sea breeze from the Indian Ocean all times.
Set up base at the lodge create your own Zanzibar adventure. Lodge staff will help you on how to get to most beautiful beaches of Zanzibar, the lodge is close Fumba town, the trips like Safari Blue, Fumba village tour, fishing trips, Niemembe Island tour and sandbank can be arranged through lodge stuff. The lodge has a restaurant, lunch and dinner is served, Our chef is always there to cook for you, the restaurant serve local and international cuisine.
MIKOKO in Swahili means “Mangrove" because when you arrive, as it happened to us, you will be amazed by the landscape, by the Lodge, by the mangrove forest around the area and your dream will begin. a dream which can last from one day to infinity.

The LODGE is situated at KIsakasaka near New town of Fumba, the lodge is just 500meter to the open sea, on the outskirts of the Kisakasaka village, there also local bars, shops near the lodge, local music almost every days at those bars, by staying here with will bring you close to the people of Zanzibar and see their daily activities, join them spend as local Zanzibarian , our stuff will help you on how to get to those places.
The entire Lodge or individual rooms can be rented by the day or for extended stays. Completely built by local workers, incorporating African styles, materials and furnishings, the Lodge , modern features will make you feel at ease although you are thousands of miles from home.

Our restaurant served main Zanzibari Swahili foods.
- Catch of the day served with seasonal vegetables,coconut curry sauce.
- Grilled tuna, coconut crusted sesame tuna, served with rice or ugali.
- Grilled octopus, tandoori snapper served with Mbeya rice.
- Fish Neptune topped with octopus, prawns, calamari and hollandaise sauce, served with rice, or ugali.
- Chicken tikka masala served with basmati rice, beef steak grilled served with either chips or rice.
- Seasonal vegetable curry cooked in coconut curry sauce served with rice.
- Swahili foods, Pilau rice, birian rice with fish, beef or chicken.
- Fish from lake Victoria is also available at our restaurant, Sato and Sangara served with ugali, green cooking banana or rice.
- A special present for the couple.
- Beef and chicken Makange is available.
- Local beer, fresh juice, cocktails are served at our restaurant.
